Slam

A floating elegance with refined proportions, Slam Guest pays precise attention to the smallest details. A concealed connection suggests the shell is poised between both sides of the frame, seemingly hovering above the floor. With five frame options, three shell materials, and a textured powder-coat on chair bases to match the polypropylene matte finishes, Slam Guest can easily furnish multiple spaces within a single facility while maintaining a common aesthetic.

Slam’s color revision extends the chair’s range in a remarkably natural way. A color palette that once focused on corporate office environments has been warmed up with a natural wood focus and coordinated shades echoing nature. The color revision extends the range of Slam into warmer and softer interiors. The use of post-consumer recycled content takes responsible steps to evolve Slam in an earth-conscious way.

We've reorganized and updated the palette, preserving a dark and bright grey, adding three shades of green, and adapting the dark and bright blue to blend with the new palette. We've also adopted sustainable materials—for a design that works for the world, and a world of spaces.

Fully Upholstered

Leland’s recent recolor of the Slam chair collection showcased the importance of color as a design element and how the very different materials used in the chair’s design can be harmonized through the use of color. When a fully upholstered model is desired the color and texture is all in the textile so preserving the form of the chair becomes a top priority.
